Fly off report in Judging Order:

1.      Joe Bob Stuka  Waxhaw North Carolina.

19.05.02  7.45 PM   weather : really good.

Score : 6 8 7 5 6 5 5  6 6 // 7 5 7 8 6 5 // 6 6 5 // 8 8 5 5 .

Score divided in four sections of 5 minutes to indicate the work rate. 19 birds.

R.140.  Q.1.4.  D.1.4.  Total  274.4.

Pigeons started really nice, frequent and nice quality in the first 5 min. Later the kit often split up or a few birds left the kit, so they scored a lot less. No fly pattern, just trying to stay together above the loft. Saw about 6 real nice quality pigeons.

2.      Bobby Bradley Nashville Tennessee.

21.05.02    07.00 AM  weather : nice calm.

Score : 5 5 5 5 // 5 5 // - // -

R.30   Q.1   D.1   Total 30.

20 birds. Time flown 15 min. 45 sec.

Kit flew on nice height, but the birds didn’t work together, no activity, only 6 just scorable breaks seen, sad for Bobby. Don’t use all your luck to qualify, safe some for the finals!

3.      Bob Westfall

22.05.02    9.30 AM  weather : clear light wind.

R.30   Q.1.0   D.1.6   Total 30.

20 birds.  Time flown 20 min.

Birds flew pretty good in the wind but only scored 6 breaks just scorable.

20 birds. Time flown 20 min.

Birds flew to a good height and started working real nice, but after about 5 min. The kit started to dive and fly nervous around the huge pine trees and only scored a few more breaks. Some birds in the kit with better  quality and depth than scored.

5.      Aubrey Thibodeaux Louisiana.

Birds flew a bit too high for a really good view. They scored a few breaks, but quality

And depth was just scorable no more. Hopefully more luck for the guys in Louisiana

       next year!

A perfect timing of releasing the kit, this seemed very important for Kevin and he was probably right. The kit started scoring beautiful breaks with good quality and depth, less frequent halfway the fly, but at the end again some really nice breaks. A constant performance what means, good quality pigeons, nice team.

Fantastic to judge a kit like this with a lot of fanciers in the yard.

First part very active,  kitting was often too loose what cost him bigger breaks. A few  not reliable kitters made him miss a few beautiful half turns extra! Beautiful kit to judge! Best working quality kit I saw.          No score due to out birds all the time!

Larry wanted to fly in the afternoon, not a good choice afterwards, the birds didn’t really

20 birds. Time flown 15 min. 45 sec.

Kit only active in the first part, but quality of breaks just scorable, lot of birds poor  quality and not scorable, the kit wasn’t ready. Kit landed just after 15 min. what saved the score.

Due to the fog a what difficult start, but the kit started working and scored 7 breaks first  5 min. but was less active the rest of the fly. Overall quality was poor, just scorable only a few better quality breaks.

The kit flew low and often a little too far away, so he missed some breaks behind the trees. Kit was very active, quality often too loose, but in some bigger breaks better quality and tighter birds, depth was nice. I wonder what this kit would have done in perfect weather conditions.

Kit blown away in strong wind, loose rolling and not together, after 5 min. time in, and could score birds at end of street. Missed a few breaks behind the trees. Quality in the bigger breaks a lot better then in the smaller breaks.

Birds out and after 2 min. they settle down and time in. They start scoring nice with good quality and depth, very active, but only small breaks and too many individual working birds, they didn’t wait for each other. Later some bigger breaks with nice quality and depth. After 10 min. less active and a few birds leave the kit and almost ruined the fly, it looked as if they were going to land, but they went back to the kit and in last 5 min. kit scores again some nice breaks, lucky Ferid! Beautiful fly!
